This layer contains both paved and unpaved roads. Many rural routes and private drives are also included. In 2009 the street centerlines were converted from ArcInfo Coverage to ArcGIS Enterprise Feature Class. Additional fields were added to store information that was originally recorded in a SQL Server table Road Inventory. Incorporated City/Town street centerlines are provided by other government agencies and appended into this data on a monthly schedule. Schema has been changed in November 2020 to closer match NENA GIS Data Model (STA-006-1-2020). Migrated to a SQL 2019 Database for use in Web Services (ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online) environments with ArcGIS Pro desktop. Still requires extract, translate, and load processes to convert to a true NENA Next Generation 911 format. This data is stored in Central AZ State Plane Coordinate System. This data is in a feature dataset to relate to other public works data (Linear Referenced System) feature class which the street centerlines are related by ROUTEID.
