The specific service numbers are issued by the State 911 Office and are recorded with the phone companies and emergency service contactors, Intrado. These numbers can only be changed by request from the MSAG coordinator in the County to Intrado and the State 911 Office. ESZ values are used in the 911 system to route "LANDLINE" phones to the correct Public Safety Answer Point (PSAP). By setting the wrong value, a 911 calls could be delayed in the correct routing and dispatching of the necessary emergency services.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
